Even though the film is called iNVASION DAY and MADE IN CANBERRA this film is far from political. This is a feature film. This is art. This film is about a home invasion that happens to be on Australia Day night– this is not virtue signaling or suggesting a name or date change to a public holiday– We hope that no-one on the LEFT or RIGHT side of politics is offended by the title of our film. Hopefully that should clear up the elephant in the room.
If you sit on the fence politically as an artist, musician or filmmaker, you can entertain both sides of the fence. If you pick a side you cut off half your audience- So to those who celebrate Australia day we celebrate with you and to those who call it invasion day we mourn with you. Again, this film will not discuss the matter– it is a sci fi / thriller.
